We compiled this password list in collaboration with independent researchers who are experts in studying cybersecurity incidents. They accurately analyzed a 4.3 terabyte database sourced from the dark web and other publicly accessible sources. During the research, FastestPass did not purchase or acquire any personal data to conduct this research, ensuring the truthfulness of our findings.
Up to 35 nations
By dividing the data into different verticals, researchers were able to do a statistical analysis based on the nations. The researchers solely provided statistical data to FastestPass; no personal information about internet users is mentioned.
There are eight different kinds of platform categories
In collaboration with outside researchers, FastestPass examined passwords from a 6.6 trillion-byte database. Numerous stealer programs, including Redline, Vidar, Taurus, Raccoon, Azorult, and Cryptbot, were responsible for taking these passwords. Malware logs contain the source website in addition to passwords. The most popular passwords for each kind of platform were categorized by researchers, who then provided statistically aggregated results to FastestPass.
